The iXchange Life Internship involves the development of hard and soft skills. The iXchangers take part in learning, growing in the Word of God and their own personal leadership, practical building skills, computer and program skills, as well as physical conditioning and living a healthy lifestyle.
Xpedition – a journey taken to encounter God, develop God-centered relationships and step out of our comfort zones. We have journeyed, camped and cycled far and wide over South Africa. From the Richtersveld to the Kgalagadi, Clarens, Morgenzon and Kruger National Park; it is on these adventures that we are marked forever.
The 2021 Footsteps to Destiny was a marker moment trip where the Lord did a great work in our hearts. As iXchangers, we returned determined to allow the Holy Spirit to continue the work that He started in our hearts; we were going to continue to be changed!
Every year, Footsteps to Destiny has not only marked the iXchangers, but many have made significant life choices for God, choices for their families and have made quality decisions to follow God with their lives.
God has taken us to some of the most beautiful places in our country and every time we go with Him, He surely spoils us with superb scenery, adventures, and conversations among friends.
On these trips, God is intentional about bringing the whole group of iXchangers together, and He purposefully makes His love and presence known to each and every one of us. It is honestly something that every person should Xperience for themselves. It is wonderful!
iXchange has set the standard of how people should live their lives – in God, and wow, I am grateful that I am part of this beautiful group of people who choose to live their lives for Jesus!
At iXchange, we take part in various learning avenues; we are lifelong learners. We are enrolled in courses and Bible education through accredited Bible School syllabi, practical and in-person teaching. At iXchange we are taught discipleship in our practical, everyday life, order in our personal leadership and how to live our lives according to the Word of God.
Through iXchange, we are also able to participate in an online learning platform that facilitates growth in the Word of God and development into the things of God through learning materials, audio and visual lessons, as well as personalized coaching to guide you step-by-step. This is an ‘anytime’ and ‘any place’ tool that can assist young people and iXchangers in connecting with the Word of God in a deeper and more intimate way than they may have before.

At iXchange, we are determined to live a healthy lifestyle and to treat our bodies, the temple of the Holy Spirit, with honor.
The day of an iXchanger begins with an hour of physical activity. For many, that hour is spent riding bicycles, running and even walking. Conditioning has taught us to become disciplined and to be consistent; doing it together serves as a great motivator!
We have found that, not only has the discipline of remaining conditioned impacted our lives, but it has taught us so many lessons in our spiritual lives about discipline, consistency and the strength of unity in the Body of Christ.
For me, conditioning was a challenging journey. I had my own preferences when it came to conditioning, and running wasn’t one of them. Since coming to iXchange, I went through a process of transformation. Before I came, I would not run even if I had to run to save my life.
Now I run because this is an obedience that I need to give to the Lord and I enjoy giving this obedience to Him. It is a day-to-day Xchange between me and the Lord.

As the team of iXchangers, we have taken part in multiple local missions projects across South Africa. These have included motorcycle tours with Chariots of Light, leading people to salvation in and around our local area and broader communities, praying for people’s healing and preaching the Word of God intentionally.
We have been called, as believers, to shine as lights in a dark world (Philippians 2:15). We have been called to the local people around us and outreach is a practical way that we can touch our surrounding communities.
For me, it has been such a privilege to be a part of missions. As an iXchanger, I get many opportunities to bring my gift and serve in the missions field. I have really experienced the love of God and encountered Him on new levels as I have engaged more and more. This is a seed that I am able to sow, with JOY, that is working towards a great harvest in my life. I seriously encourage anyone reading this to get involved! It is not only beneficial to your local area, but it is completely life changing.

At iXchange Life Internship, we are intentional about cultivating strong, healthy and Godly relationships. For us, relationship comes first; first our personal relationship with God and then our relationships with one another.
We dedicate intentional time that we spend time together, fellowshipping over the Word, having holy conversations and just having fun together. This time is facilitated over conditioning times, breaks throughout the day and especially organized outings and events.
