PURPOSE LIVING - FOLLOWING GOD'S PLAN

DOES GOD HAVE A PLAN FOR MY LIFE?

Hey you. Yes you!

Do you know that God has a plan for you? Like, for you, specifically? Do you know that every morning that you wake up, God has already got that day planned out for you?

Have you ever thought, “Is destiny real? I wonder if I have a destiny. How can I know what my destiny is? Does God care about what I’m doing? I wonder if He has a plan for me?”

Well, you should read Psalm 139: All the days of your life, all of these plans for your life were written in His book, before you were even born before they were even any days.

Wow, what a thought, God does not only have a plan for your life, but He even has a plan for your day; and it is all written in His book. In Jeremiah 29 verse 11, it says;

11 For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.

12 Then you will call upon Me, and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear and heed you.

13 Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital necessity] and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.

14 I will be found by you, says the Lord.

Let this scripture speak to you, so that you can know that God truly has got a plan for your life and if you seek Him, you can find out what it is! You have to meditate on that (just think about that)! You have to let the Holy Spirit make this real in your heart.

God is a gentleman, He will not force you to follow His plan for your life, He has left the choice up to you.

So, you may be asking yourself; “How do I follow God’s plan for my life?”

This isn’t a process that looks identical for every person. In fact, just as God made you unique, so is His plan for you unique and your following of His plan is also unique.

You need to make a decision now. Are you going to follow your plan and what the culture says you ‘should’ do? Or are you going to make the decision to follow God? Since you are reading this blog, I believe that it is the desire of your heart to follow the plan that God has for your life.

When following God, a good place to start is to get to know the voice of God. It is through the Word of God and spending time thinking about God and talking to God that you will begin to more easily recognise the voice of God.

You can’t do this in your own strength. Rather than ‘working hard’ to give your life to God, say this; “Lord, I’m not trying to give You my whole heart, I’m coming to tell You that I want You to take it.”

This is a step-by-step journey you are on with God. It is a wonderful, sweet, lifelong journey with Him!

Tip: Read the Word and speak it out loud (read it aloud to yourself)! Faith comes by hearing and the more that you hear yourself speak the Word of God, the more your own heart will believe it; and your faith will grow!
